  • Dear Sir,
My name is Helena and I represent Finca Montefrio Farm. We run a family bussines related with the Dehesa, the tipical ecosystem of 100℅ Iberian pigs.
During the last years we have been developing a program of sensibility with the sostenibility of the Ecosystem, and the way to adjust our diary work to the times needed by the land.
We knew about this event by Slow good organización, and we would love to share the experience from our centenary tres and land in a Presentación.
Would it be possible if we are a comoany?
    Thank you for your atención.

    Kind regards,

    Helena

  • Mario Veneziani Post author ,

Dear Helena, I trust you are well in beautiful Spain! Thank you very much for reaching out to us to share your interest and your willingness to talk about your work and your experience. The Congress is definitely open to companies and non-academics interested in these topics (actually, we are actively promoting their involvement in the Congress). I can foresee two possibilities for you getting involved quite easily. On the one hand, you could ask the people you know in Slow Food to organise a session in which you feature as a speaker. On the other hand, I could make a note of your interest and let know about it to people organising sessions on rural development, conservation agriculture or biodiversity management. How do these two options sound to you? Next time you write us, I will try to have someone respond you in Spanish, if that was preferred. Looking forward to be hearing more from you, please accept our best wishes. Mario, on behalf of the LOC

  • Hello, I am Evee, a post graduate student from Nigeria. I am pleased to hear about this conference and will love to be a part of it. I would love to be intimated more on the sub themes or expected topics of interest for the programme so that I can work towards being a part of it. I also wish to know if attendance will be funded for students. It will also interest me to know if attendance is allowed for individuals who are neither presenting a paper or otherwise.

    Many thanks,

    Evee

  • Mario Veneziani Post author ,

Dear Evee, I trust you are well. Thank you very much for your interest in the XV EAAE Congress and for getting in touch with the Organisers. Regarding the sub-topics and the themes of interest in the Congress, you can find a rough indication of a few of them on this page: http://www.eaae2017.it/sponsorship-opportunities/
On the issue of scholarships for students’ participation, currently, the LOC is not able to provide travel, accommodation and/or subsistence grants. However, the upcoming sponsorship collection campaign may be able to source some funding devoted to this end. Selection of beneficiaries would be based on the merit and quality of the submitted proposal. Lastly, you can definitely register to the Congress as a participant, without presenting any contribution.
I hope this answers your queries.
Thanks again for getting in touch, please stay up to date with the Congress.
    Best regards
    Mario

  • Arturo Bisono ,

    Hello,

It is possible to make the presentation in Spanish

  • Mario Veneziani Post author ,

Dear Arturo, I trust you are well. Thank you very much for your interest in the XV EAAE Congress, to the point of leaving a message for us in the commenting system. We would like to stress that the working language of the Congress is English. Papers written and presentations delivered in languages other than English cannot be accommodated. I hope this does not prevent you from submitting a contribution or from participating in the Congress. I hope this answers your question. Should you require any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to ask for some. Considering the time of the year, please accept our Best Wishes of a Merry Christmas and Happy Festive Season! Best regards, Mario, on behalf of the XV EAAE Congress LOC

  • Mario Veneziani Post author ,

  • Catherine LAROCHE-DUPRAZ ,

    Dear Mario,
    I have 3 questions.
    – My contribution has been accepted as a poster. Do I have to submit a final contribution using the poster template before june 5th or may I use the initial contibuted paper template ?
    – I am the co-author of another accepted poster. The first author will not have the possibility to join the congress. I’d like to present this poster. How to associate this second poster with my record in the system?
    Thank you very much, sincerely
    Cathie
    – Do you have instructions (size, wall mounting system, etc.) for the edition of the final poster ?

  • Mario Veneziani Post author ,

Dear Catherine, I trust you are doing very well indeed! Thank you very much for your kind questions. Apologies if I am responding late to your message. Let me try to address your kind questions below:

    – Regarding the submission of Posters in their final version, please note that we do not require them right now. We will allow you to upload it to ConfTool until a later date for the purpose of being then transferred and uploaded to AgEcon Search. For us, the final version of the Poster is the PDF file of the Poster you will then print, bring to Parma, pin to the board and present during the Session you will be assigned to. Please note that the website has not been correctly updated for a while, since it is undergoing some major maintenance. In turn, we do not want to run the risk of updating the website and have to re-do the work, should we have to roll it back to an earlier version. For Poster presentations, it is important you register as Congress Participant
    – Regarding associating the other Poster to your records, the initial submitter of the other Poster, upon submitting the final version of the contribution, will have the opportunity to indicate you as the presenter, and the Poster will be associated to you. Otherwise, if you want to be indicated as the submitter of both (and manage directly the records for both of the contributions), please let us know which is the contribution which needs transferring from a submitter to another and we will do so (because you cannot do it yourself)
    – Please note that we will be proving a Template for the final version of the Poster, in its “presentation” form. Apologies if we have not done so yet. In general, the Poster size will be A1, in vertical orientation and they will be pinned to the boards provided

I hope this answers your queries. Please accept my apologies for the late reply. Looking forward to be meeting you in Parma for the Congress, please accept our, Best regards. Mario, on behalf of the LOC of the XV EAAE Congress
